step 1

Find the Right Class

Find the class you are interested in taking from the class schedule. Personal and professional development opportunities, ranging from career-enhancing workshops to educational travel, youth programs, and personal enrichment classes, are available through our Business Training and Community Education department.

If you are still a high school or home-schooled student taking our classes, please start the process with Dual Credit.

    step 2

    Apply to Parkland

To take classes at Parkland College, you must fill out an application. You should apply as a non-degree-seeking student. The courses will be for credit, but you won’t be eligible for financial aid in that status. More information on your choices is available at Enrollment Options.

    Apply
    step 3

    Get Connected

Once you have applied, we will send you email on how to set up your Parkland College student accounts. E-tools is a great place to start if you need more help with that process.

    Get Assessment Tests or Accommodations

To take a class at Parkland, we need to verify that you have met the prerequisite for the class. Often, this can be done by emailing unofficial transcripts or test scores to admissions@parkland.edu. University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign students should follow the concurrent enrollment process.

If you have not completed the prerequisite for the class, you may be asked to take an assessment test. Learn more about that process at the Assessment Center page.

If you have been diagnosed with a disability and would like testing accommodations, please let us know so we may assist you. Learn more on our Accessibility Services page.
