Cobra Comeback

At Parkland, we are committed to your continued success. Cobra Comeback is a debt-forgiveness program that allows you the opportunity to return to complete your credentials, no matter what kept you from finishing them. So go ahead. Come on back.

Program Eligibility

  • Must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and be in good academic standing
  • Owe no more than $2,000 to Parkland
  • Have not been enrolled at Parkland for the past academic year Example:  Student wants to enroll during the 2024-2025 academic year (includes Fall 2024, Spring 2025, Summer 2025) under the Cobra Comeback program.  Student would not be eligible if they were enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year as eligibility states “have not been enrolled at Parkland for the past academic year”.  Student would be eligible if enrolled during the 2022-2023 academic year or any academic year prior to that year.  (Note:  Cobra comeback uses the FA academic year that begins with fall and ends with summer). Fall 2023, Spring 2024, Summer 2024 
    (cannot have attended during this academic year)

    Fall 2025, Spring 2026, Summer 2026
    Example:  Student wants to enroll during the 2025-2026 academic year (includes Fall 2026, Spring 2025, Summer 2026) under the Cobra Comeback program.  Student would not be eligible if they were enrolled during the 2024-2025 academic year as eligibility states “have not been enrolled at Parkland for the past academic year”.  Student would be eligible if enrolled during the 2023-2024 academic year or any academic year prior to that year.  (Note:  Cobra comeback uses the FA academic year that begins with fall and ends with summer).   • Must complete course(s) with a C or higher in order to have the current in-district rate per credit hour of their debt forgiven

 

Enrollment Process

  1. Complete Inquiry Form
  2. Monitor your email for a response regarding your eligibility and next steps
  3. Secure financial aid or payment for the return semester
  4. Register for classes and complete each class with a C or higher
