UAS CURRICULUM FOR THE INDUSTRY DEMAND (U-CID)
Parkland’s U-CID project (grant #1801894), was awarded in July 2018 through the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education (ATE) program.The primary focus of the U-CID project is adapting courses developed at multiple community colleges throughout the country to effectively develop a UAS program at Parkland that meets industry demand.The U-CID project is also reaching out to women and veterans in our region to ensure a diverse student population is represented in UAS courses.The project will also connect with high schools through workshops developed for high school teachers, guidance counselors and student.To help students transition to 4- year institutions, opportunities in articulation agreements will be explored.
