Sarah has a Ph.D. in cognitive neuroscience and thinks of herself as a teacher-scholar. Sarah teaches psychology and student success classes to undergraduates and conducts action research in her classroom to help improve students' abilities to pay attention, remember, and learn material, as well as develop improved study skills. She also supports teachers in developing evidence-based teaching skills through upper division courses and workshops in the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning. Finally, Sarah helps educators understand and apply best pedagogical practices through her published books and journal articles and through presentations at national conferences and colleges.
