Lisa Costello is the Gallery Director at Parkland College. Lisa earned two B.F.A. degrees at the University of Illinois, in art history and metalsmithing, in 1991, as well as an M.F.A. at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, in 1996.
In addition to running the Parkland Art Gallery she also teaches Art Appreciation. She enjoys working with students and fostering a better understanding of contemporary art through experiencing art and artists first hand through fieldtrips, visiting artist lectures and art projects. She has taught metals, foundation design, sculpture and related courses at the James Madison School of Art and Art History, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois.
Lisa is a practicing artist and has exhibited her work at Klein Art Works Gallery in Chicago, The International Museum of Surgical Science, and the Evanston Art Center, among others. She has been the recipient of an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship.
