Parkland Announces New Scholarship Management System
Parkland launches Scholarship Manager
Parkland College will be launching a new online scholarship program that will allow students to apply faster, easier, and to more scholarships, with just one application.
Scholarship Manager works by a having each student fill out a single application ("Parkland College Scholarship Application"), which will match them with scholarships they are eligible for through the Parkland College Foundation. This way, students can avoid having to fill out multiple applications and will have access to more aid opportunities. The program also contains an online letter of recommendation feature to allow for easier management of scholarship materials as well as online notification and distribution of awards. Supplemental essays will also be handled through the system.
To take advantage of the new system, visit parkland.edu/ParklandScholarships. Students must fill out the Parkland College Scholarship Application to be matched with scholarships. Scholarship applications are taken twice a year, once per semester. Applicants will be asked to provide two letters of recommendation and an essay. Once the Parkland College Scholarship Application is submitted, the Parkland College Foundation committee will appoint the scholarships and notify the winners.
Applications for fall 2020 scholarships are due May 6, 2020. Applications for spring 2021 scholarships are due October 30, 2020.
Students will be notified if scholarships require additional information. For need-based scholarships, they must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa. All applicants must be admitted Parkland students to apply for scholarships. Visit parkland.edu/applynow to apply.
