Parkland College to Host Welding, Industrial Technology Workshop for High School Students

The workshop will be held at the T building on the Parkland College campus on Friday, November 22.

Parkland College Career and Technical Education will host a FREE workshop for area high school students featuring its Welding and Industrial Technology programs in November.

The workshop will be held at the T building on the Parkland College campus on Friday, November 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Students will participate in hands-on career exploration focusing on welding and industrial technology skills. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety protocols in these careers. The workshop will include:

  • Learning MIG and stick welding
  • Creating a project from conception to completion using SOLIDWORKS and 3-D printing

Participants will also receive lunch, a t-shirt, and a Parkland swag bag. Seating is limited. Students can sign up to attend this event at parkland.edu/careerexploration.
