Parkland Theatre Presents "12 Angry Jurors" in October

Performances of "12 Angry Jurors" are scheduled at the Parkland Second Stage Theatre beginning October 3.

"12 Angry Jurors," adapted for stage by Sherman L. Sergel and based on the Emmy Award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose, comes to the Parkland Second Stage Theatre beginning October 3.

In this classic drama, a 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. "He doesn't stand a chance," mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the jury room.

It looks like an open-and-shut case, but one of the jurors isn’t convinced. In the course of re-examining the case, tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors unknowingly reveal their true natures--their backgrounds, their values, and their biases. In order to deliver a verdict, 12 increasingly frustrated individuals must reach a consensus despite their differences, and hanging in the balance is the truth, justice, and a young man’s life.

BJ Gailey directs a cast including Li Reichlin, Erin Kaufman, Jamie McDaniels, Karen Hughes, Ciara Kenny, Yeshua Harris, Tony Curtis, James Castree, David Heckman, John Howard, Mary Rose Cottingham, and Monty Joyce.

Performances are scheduled in the Parkland Second Stage Theatre on October 3, 4, 5, 11, 12 at 7:30 p.m. and October 6 and 13 at 3 p.m. The show is rated Teen for adult content and language.

Tickets cost $20 for adults and $15 for students, youth, seniors and veterans. Opening night costs half-price of an adult ticket for $10. Tickets are available for purchase online.

Parkland Theatre wants all our guests to have an enjoyable experience. Both theatres are wheelchair accessible and have accommodations for patrons with limited mobility and visual or hearing impairments. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation, please indicate when purchasing.
