Parkland Trustees Approve Three-Year Faculty, Support Staff Contracts

Parkland Academic Employees and Professional Support Staff collective bargaining agreements have been approved

At a special meeting Monday, Parkland College's Board of Trustees approved multi-year collective bargaining agreements for the college’s faculty and support staff unions.
 
The Parkland Academic Employees (PAE), representing the college's full-time faculty, received a three-year contract that includes salary increases and adjustments to the group's health insurance stipend and formula. Contract highlights include:
 
PAE Salary Increases
FY2025 – 5.45%*
FY2026 – 5.45%*
FY2027 – 3.95%**
*Based on known state funding levels from the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and Corporate and Personal Property Replacement Tax
**If ICCB and/or CPPRT revenues meet benchmarks, up to an additional 1.5% will be added to base salary
 
PAE members will receive a $3,000 annual health care stipend in the first year of the contract, with a minimum stipend of $900 guaranteed for the second and third years of the contract.  
 
The Parkland Professional Support Staff Association (PSSA) also finalized a three-year contract with salary increases and adjustments to the group health insurance stipend and formula. Highlights of the PSSA contract include:  
 
PSSA Salary Increases
FY2025 – 5.5%*
FY2026 – 4% + $600*
FY2027 – 3.25% +$600**
*Based on known state funding levels from the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) and Corporate and Personal Property Replacement Tax
**If ICCB and/or CPPRT revenues meet benchmarks, up to an additional 1.5% will be added to base salary
 
PSSA members will receive a $3,000 annual health care stipend in the first year of the contract, with a minimum stipend of $1,500 guaranteed in the second year and $900 in the third year. No changes were made to health care coverage or premiums for either bargaining unit.  
 
Following the execution of the contracts, they will be posted on the Policies, Procedures, and Contracts page on the college's public website.
