New Food Service Vendor Selected for Parkland College

Parkland College will welcome a new food service provider for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Parkland College will welcome a new food service provider for the 2024-2025 academic year. 

During the Parkland College Board of Trustees' monthly meeting on Wednesday, board members approved Campus Culinary Solutions, LLC of Champaign as the new food service provider for Parkland College beginning Aug. 1 through May 31, 2027. Campus Culinary Solutions replaces Hendrick House, Inc., which had operated at the campus since 2018. 

In other business, trustees approved:

  • the bid for reconstructing softball field parking lot and access drive from Mid Illinois Concrete, Urbana, $978,300
  • the bid for Athletic Office renovations from Commercial Builders Inc., Champaign, $324,200
  • the resolution identifying work contracts to the Installment Purchase Agreement entered into in connection with the issuance of Series 2008 and Series 2009 debt certificates
  • the purchase of:
    • services from Indoor Climate Research and Training of Champaign, $87,000
    • a catalog and curriculum system from Modern Campus of Camarillo, Cal., $55,000
    • audiovisual and lecture capture equipment from Presidio of New York, $175,000
    • furniture and installation from Krueger International of Green Bay, Wisc., $62,000
    • LenelS2 software update and support plan and maintenance service hours from Midwest Integrated Solutions of Bradley, Ill., $51,751
    • used 2022 Tesla Model Y from SERRA Champaign, Savoy, Ill., $28,452
  • the filing of grant applications:
    • USDA-NIFA-Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI): Sustainable Agriculture Systems (SAS): Quantifying and Transforming Agricultural and Food Industry from Linear to Circular Bioeconomic Systems
