Parkland Theatre Presents Little Shop of Horrors

Little Shop of Horrors Opens April 11

"Little Shop of Horrors", written by Howard Ashman, music by Alan Menken and directed by Michael O’Brien, comes to Parkland College’s Harold and Jean Miner Theatre April 11–28.

Meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II,” after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn, as long as he keeps feeding it blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out-of-this-world origins and intent towards global domination.

With music direction by Cheryl Forest Morganson and choreography by Whitney Havice, O’Brien directs a cast that includes Russell Zillman, Rachel Gladd, Dylan Holt, Jess Schlipf, Kaila Simpson, Kiah Johnson, Ciobhan Dunn, Excellence Onalundala, Adrian Rochelle, Maya Baker, Alison Wiltgen, Mahal Childress, and Max Deremiah.

Performances take place in the Parkland Harold and Jean Miner Theatre April 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7:30 p.m. and April 21, 28 at 3 p.m.
