Parkland College To Host Free "3D Modeling for 3D Print" Workshop

Parkland College CTE to Host Free Workshop, September 30

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. — Parkland College Career and Technical Education will host a FREE "3D Modeling for 3D Print" Workshop for students and community members ages 15 and older. Residents can grow their skills in product design, concept art, or engineering. 

WHAT:      FREE "3D Modeling for 3D Print" Workshop  WHO:       Community members ages 15 and older WHERE:   Digital Media Lab, Room D227, 2400 W. Bradley Ave., Champaign WHEN:     Saturday, September 30, 2023, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. DETAILS:    Participants will experience hands-on learning opportunities, including:

  • Design and model objects using Autodesk Maya, the industry-leading software for 3D modeling and animation
  • Explore a variety of 3D printers including Makerbot and Formlabs liquid resin printers.
  • Connect with Digital Media faculty
