Staerkel Planetarium Announces Several New Shows in its Fall Schedule

The new schedule does contain fan favorites such as Fall Prairie Skies and Santa's Secret Star; as well as several new shows including Coyote Explores the Earth, Moon, and Sun; and Solar System Safari. 

Also, visitors will enjoy James B. Kaler Science Lecture Series, sensory-friendly matinees, and Spanish language matinees. Girl Scout and Boy Scout workshops are planned for November. Advanced registration is required for the workshops, you will find the information at parkland.edu/planetarium.

Now is the time for teachers to schedule their school's field trip to Staerkel Planetarium by calling the office at 217/351-2568. Teacher materials and show listings can be found at parkland.edu/planetarium to plan your trip.

In May, Staerkel Planetarium announced show ticket price increase. Tickets for adults $8, for children under 12, seniors, and Parkland Students $7. Group rates for more than 20 people will be $4 per person. Tickets to light and laser shows will be $12 for all ages.
