Staerkel Planetarium to Increase Show Ticket Prices May 1

The William M. Staerkel Planetarium will increase ticket prices to its shows starting May 1. This price increase will offset costs for a new online ticketing system that will be introduced later this year.

Beginning May 1, tickets for adults will be $8, and tickets for children under 12, seniors, and Parkland College students will be $7. Group rates for more than 20 people will be $4 per person. Tickets to light and laser shows will be $12 for all ages. James B. Kaler Science Lecture series tickets will remain at $2.

There is no increase planned for the Friends of the Staerkel Planetarium membership program. Additionally, private shows booked before May 1 will be priced at the original rate.
