Spring 2023 Auditions at Parkland Theatre December 10
"Blithe Spirit" and "Sweeney Todd" to be performed in upcoming season
The Parkland College Theatre will hold auditions for the first two shows of the Spring 2023 season Saturday, December 10, at the theatre.
Auditions for "Blithe Spirit" and "Sweeney Todd" will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All auditionees should sign up for an audition time, fill out an audition form, and prepare from the sides provided at parkland.edu/auditions.
"Blithe Spirit" director Abby Gailey is casting seven actors ages 18 and up. You can view specific casting information and a character breakdown by visiting parkland.edu/auditions.
"Sweeney Todd" director Jeff Dare is casting 30-35 actors ages 18 and up. One role, Tobias, is for an actor playing a boy around 10-12 years old. Please prepare 30-60 seconds of a song from Sweeney Todd or a song in a similar style. Please bring your sheet music hole punched in a three-ring binder for the provided accompanist. Performances for "Blithe Spirit" will run February 16-26 in the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre. Performances for "Sweeney Todd" will run April 6-23 in the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre.
