Parkland to Screen Feature Documentary "No Small Matter"
Parkland will host a screening and panel discussion of documentary film exploring early childhood education
Parkland will be hosting a screening of the documentary “No Small Matter” on Thursday, April 16 from 6–8:30 pm in Room C118. A panel discussion will follow the film. All faculty, staff, students, and community members, especially those interested in early childhood development and education, are invited to attend.
No Small Matter is the first feature documentary that explores the importance of early childhood education. Through personal, poignant stories and surprising humor, this documentary provides evidence for the cruciality of a child’s first five years, and reveals how our failure to act has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families with potential long-term consequences. Early Childhood Educators will earn 1.5 hours of Gateways Registry-approved credit by completing an assessment. To register, visit https://forms.illinois.edu/sec/8109692.
