Parkland Trustees Keep Tuition Level for 2024-2025 Academic Year
Tuition at Parkland College will remain unchanged next year.
At their regular meeting Wednesday, Parkland College trustees approved the FY2025 base tuition rate of $154.75 per credit hour for in-district campus-based and online Tier 1 instruction. Tier 2 in-district tuition, covering Health Professions programs, also remains level, at $234 per credit hour. Universal fees remain unchanged at $23.75. The decision followed an in-depth Budget Workshop from Chief Financial Officer Christopher Randles.
Trustees also approved the recommended 2024-2025 Course Fee Schedule, which includes both reductions and increases in individual program courses. In other business, trustees approved:
- the purchase of ALEKS PPL assessment testing units from McGraw-Hill Global Education Holdings LLC of Blacklick, Ohio, $60,000
- the filing of grant applications to the Illinois Community College Board for:
- CTE Virtual Reality Grant, $99,985
- Access and Equity in Dual Credit Project Grant, $149,234
- the acceptance of funds from the Illinois Community College Board for:
- FY24 Rev Up EV Community College Initiative (Electric Vehicle Technology Grant), $305,086
- FY24 Digital Instruction for Adult Learners, $75,000
- the following personnel appointments:

- Michael West, Custodian, Physical Plant
- Jawan Kendrick, Custodian, Physical Plant
