Parkland Theatre to Present Holiday Classic "White Christmas" in December
Multiple performances are scheduled December 5-15.
Parkland Theatre will present Irving Berlin’s "White Christmas," December 5-15 in the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre.
In this holiday classic, veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow singing sisters Betty and Judy Haynes to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander.
With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and book by David Ives and Paul Blake, the production features many well-known standards including "Blue Skies," "I Love a Piano," "How Deep Is the Ocean" and the perennial title song, "White Christmas."
Chelsea Collier directs a cast that includes Bryan Goode, Jacob Deters, Abby Gailey, Emily Hogan, Samantha Wells, Zoe Harms, Nolan J. Rice, Whitney Havice, Carissa Yau, Jace Jamison, Gianna Caponigro, HeatherAnn Layman, Jordan Rinkenberger, Anna Mettes, Erin Kaufman, Karin Vermillion, Diane Pritchard, Grace Beumler, Max Deremiah, Jenna Hall, Erica Holmes, Janhavi Kohle, Brandi Lowe, Elizabeth Sandoval, Audrey Tolbert, Dave Laker, Jake Bertrand, and Trevor Cunningham.
The production will be choreographed by Krishna Thomas and music directed by Cheryl Forest Morganson. Performances are scheduled on December 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14 at 7:30 p.m. and December 8 and 15 at 3 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $18 for students, youth, seniors and veterans, and $12 for ages 12 and under. Opening night is half-price of an adult ticket ($12.50). Tickets may be purchased at tickets.parkland.edu.0(0%)
Parkland Theatre wants all of its guests to have an enjoyable experience.
