Parkland Horticulture Annual Greenhouse Plant Sale
May 1-5: hanging baskets, annuals, succulents, vegetables, more
Parkland College Horticulture staff and students invites the community to its annual plant sale May 1-5.
The plant sale will take place in the greenhouse from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The greenhouse is located next to the Tony Noel Agricultural Technology Applications Center on the west side of the college campus.
The annual plant sale will include hanging baskets, annuals, tropical houseplants, succulents, vegetables, and herbs. All proceeds go to Horticulture programming and the Food Donation Garden. Cash or check for all sales.
During the plant sale, the Horticulture staff and students will host a make-and-take Kodedama workshop. A Kokedama is a type of Japanese bonsai. The workshops will be held Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:10 to 12:40 p.m. in room W109 of the Tony Noel Agricultural Technology Appllications Center. The cost to attend the workshop is $15.The workshop also includes a tour of the greenhouse. Space is limited to 15 participants; register at parkland.edu/kokedama.
