Parkland College to Host FAFSA Completion Events in August
Parkland College will host free FAFSA assistance events for students and families in August.
Parkland College will host free assistance events for students and families who still need to complete the 2024-2025 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
FAFSA Completion Events will take place at the following times and locations in August. Financial aid professionals will be available to answer questions, guide students and their families through the FAFSA application process and provide personalized assistance.
- Wednesday, Aug. 7, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Room U140; lunch will be provided
- Tuesday, Aug. 13, 5:30–7 p.m., Room U140; dinner will be provided
As part of Enrollment Express week:
- Aug. 12–16, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Room U286
- Aug. 17, 10 a.m.–2 p.m., Room U286
Note: Students, as well as their spouses and parents, should sign up for an FSA ID at least five days prior to the completion event to ensure full access, as their FSA IDs must be verified by the Social Security Administration. Visit studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch to create an FSA ID.
To complete their 2024–25 FAFSA, students will need to bring along (or be able to access) the following information:
- FSA ID (account username and password)
- Social Security Number
- A-Number (if not a U.S. citizen)
- Federal income tax returns; records of child support received; and current balance of cash, savings, and checking accounts
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable); net worth of investments, businesses, and farms
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
FAFSA Completion Events are free and open to the public. Advance registration is not required but is appreciated; please visit parkland.edu/VisitUs to sign up for one of the events or call the Office of Admissions at 217/351-2482.
