Parkland College Orchestra Continues Spring 2025 Season in March

Shows will take place at the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre and Centennial High School's Aldridge Auditorium

The Parkland College Orchestra will continue its Spring 2025 season in March.

As part of "On Stage: A Concert," the group will perform a wide variety of musical selections on Sunday, March 2 at 3 p.m. at the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre at Parkland College.

Pieces include "Rosamunde Overture D. 644" by Franz Schubert, selections from "Carmen Suite No. 2" by Georges Bizet, arranged by Ernest Guiraud, and "Symphonic Dances" from "Fiddler on the Roof," music by Jerry Bock, arranged by Ira Hearshen. Dr. Rodney Mueller will direct the performance.

The Parkland Orchestra will also be performing on Thursday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Centennial High School's Aldridge Auditorium with the Centennial High School Concert and Chamber Orchestras. Lilly Samson will conduct the performance.

All three groups will combine to perform the finale, "Russian Sailors’ Dance" from "The Red Poppy" by Reinhold Gliere, arranged by Merle J. Isaac.
