New Workforce Collaborative Launches at Parkland College in January
All future sessions will happen on the third Tuesday of the month
The Workforce Development team at Parkland College has launched a new collaboration for employers beginning in January.
The Parkland Workforce Collaborative is a dynamic community of employers committed to sharing ideas, addressing workforce challenges, and driving innovation in talent development. The group will explore a variety of topics, including:
- Best practices for talent recruitment and retention.
- Leveraging funding opportunities to upskill employees.
- Strategies for engaging the next generation of workers.
Through monthly meetings, guest speakers, and peer discussions, the Collaborative will provide a space for employers to connect, share experiences, and discover actionable solutions to today’s workforce needs. As a valued partner, your insights and expertise can help shape the future of the region’s workforce.
"Through numerous conversations with employers, my colleagues at the Regional Planning Commission and I have discovered that many share the same challenges," says Aimee Densmore, Director of Apprenticeship Programs at Parkland. "Along the way, we’ve exchanged great ideas—both from employers and from our own team—and shared them during one-on-one discussions. But we wanted to go further. That’s why we created the Collaborative—a space where these employers can come together, connect, and exchange insights directly with one another."
The first session is scheduled for Tuesday, January 21 from 11 a.m. to noon on Teams. All future sessions will happen on the third Tuesday of the month at 11 a.m.
