Fine and Applied Arts Open House: Tours, Demos, More

Find out why Parkland College is tops for art, graphic design, theatre, communication, music, photography

The Parkland College Fine and Applied Arts department will host an Open House Thursday, April 18, from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning in Room C148 (C wing vending lounge).

The open house offers an ideal way to learn why Parkland College is an exceptional school for art and design, communication, graphic design, music, and theatre arts. Prospective students can tour the campus, talk with faculty, and view the 51st annual Student Art and Design Exhibition, on display in the Giertz Gallery through May 4.

This special opportunity includes demonstrations in music recording, radio and television production, ceramics, metalsmithing/jewelry, drawing, photography, graphic design, theatre, and more. Prospective students can also tour backstage at the set of "The New Mel Brooks Musical: Young Frankstein" during the open house.

Preregistration is suggested but not required for this free event, at parkland.edu/FAAopenhouse. Parking is available in the C1 lot.
