I was born in the city of Luanshya in Zambia, Africa to British parents and currently retain a dual citizenship of Great Britain and Zambia. After living in Africa for seven years, my immediate family moved to a tiny town in Eastern Tennessee and after about 14 years, relocated to the suburbs of Chicago.
I eventually attended the University of Illinois and received my BFA in Graphic Design in 1992 and in 2002 received an MFA and an MA in Art History at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia. I returned to Illinois a few years ago and plan to eventually pursue my doctorate in Art History where I hope to continue my research in Spiritualism and American Art during the late 19th century.
I have been drawing and painting for most of my life and would love the opportunity to some day teach classes that combine advanced studio practices with a contextual study of the history of art.
