Current Parkland students are eligible for the following instructional and support services, all of which are offered free and on a walk-in basis:
Academic Development Lab
The Center for Academic Success (D120) has a computer lab with a study area that is designed for students in developmental courses: CCS 098 and 099, ENG 098 and 099, and MAT 059 through 098. The Academic Development Lab is equipped with assistive technology such as Kurzweil and Dragon-Naturally Speaking for students who would benefit from hearing texts read aloud to them or from dictating their papers. Our Academic Development Specialists help students with assignments and solve problems related to computer usage, Cobra Learning, my.parkland, student email, and more. They also provide academic support to students who have experienced learning difficulties or who have documented learning disabilities.
Hours: Monday and Tuesday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Math Faculty Tutoring
Math instructors provide free walk-in tutoring for students taking pre-college-level (MAT 059 through 098) math, as well as MAT 124 College Algebra and MAT 143 Calculus for Business and Social Sciences.
Hours: Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Trained student tutors, carefully chosen based on their academic performance, previous experience, and interest in helping others, will help you with math (all levels), physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, accounting, business, economics, Spanish, and more.
Hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Fridays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hours will vary by subject)
Peer Tutoring Schedule Spring 2018
Writing faculty work with students on any writing assignment at any stage of the writing process. Students are invited to use Writing Lab computers for writing assignments and to consult with Lab faculty.
Hours: Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4:50 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
