Deceased, Disabled and MIA/POW Scholarship
Spouses and dependents of an Illinois veteran who was missing in action, a prisoner of war, or was 100% totally and permanently disabled due to the service may be eligible for this benefit. This benefit covers tuition and mandatory fees (activity fee, registration fee, facility, and technology fee) for up to four years of full-time use. Course fees are not covered by this benefit. Post 9/11 GI Bill® / Chapter 33
Individuals who served active-duty in the military after September 10, 2001 may be eligible for this benefit. Spouses and dependents may also qualify under special circumstances. The benefit pays tuition and mandatory fees, a book stipend, and a housing stipend based on the percentage the student is eligible for.
