October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month!

October means pumpkin spice lattes, changing colors, cooling temperatures, Halloween, and National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. In the digital arena, where bytes battle, and firewalls stand tall, we embark on a month-long journey to safeguard our virtual realm. This year's theme is: "Secure Our World!" This theme highlights how there are simple steps that everyone can take to enhance their security online at home, at work, at school, and in your everyday lives.

Parkland College is a proud Champion of National Cybersecurity awareness month and is providing these resources to help you #BeCyberSmart. The main focus areas for this year center around cyber hygiene and easy ways to improve. There are four areas of focus:

Turn on Multi-Factor Authentication 

 Recognize and Report Phishing

 Update Your Software
