Looking for spare change to feed the meters? Not at Parkland College! That’s right, parking’s free at Parkland. And there’s LOTS of space to park. Just drive or bike over and enjoy.

Art Gallery Giertz Gallery at Parkland College
Giertz Gallery is located in the X wing of the central main building. We suggest parking in the M6 parking lot on the north corner of the campus.

The main entrance to Parkland College is on Bradley Avenue just west of Mattis Avenue in west Champaign. After entering the campus go straight on the perimeter drive to the M6 parking lot on the left. Follow the sidewalk past the Dodds Athletic Center to the wheelchair accessible X7 door, turn left, and follow the ramp where the gallery is located. The gallery windows overlook the outdoor fountain area.

Dental Hygiene Clinic
The main entrance to Parkland College is on Bradley Avenue just west of Mattis Avenue in west Champaign. After entering the campus, follow the perimeter drive around to the M6 parking lot. (Parking for clients with limited mobility is available adjacent to the clinic.)
  • Park in lot M6.
  • Follow the pathway to the farthest left.
  • Go up the stairs, through the door. Then go down a few stairs.
  • The clinic is at the foot of the stairs in room L148.

Parkland Theatre The Harold and Jean Miner Theatre and Parkland's Second Stage
The Parkland Theatre is located in the C wing of the central main building across the courtyard from the Staerkel Planetarium.

The main entrance to Parkland College is on Bradley Avenue just west of Mattis Avenue in west Champaign. After entering the campus, follow the perimeter drive around to the west side of campus. Parking lot C4 is adjacent to the theatre. There will be green Parkland Theatre flags at the entrance to the C4 parking lot as well as flags at the entrances that will lead you to the theatre lobby for both the Harold and Jean Miner Theatre and Parkland Theatre's Second Stage.

Past the C4 parking lot and the Art wing of the college, you'll find the theatre and planetarium drop off circle drive. There is no parking here, but this location is convenient if you're dropping someone off with mobility issues.

Student & Visitor Parking

For general parking, use the B-, C- or M-wing parking lots. The light poles of each lot are labeled with the appropriate B, C, or M identifiers.

Student tip: Pick the lot closest to your first or last class and park in the same lot every time: 

  • Is your class in the L, P or M wings? Park in the M lots.  
  • Use the C lots if your classes are in the C or D wings.
  • Park in the B lots if your class is in the B wing.
Planetarium Staerkel Planetarium
The Staerkel Planetarium is located in the M wing of the central main building across the courtyard from the Parkland Theatre.

The main entrance to Parkland College is on Bradley Avenue just west of Mattis Avenue in west Champaign. After entering the campus, follow the perimeter drive around to the west side of campus.

Individuals:
We suggest parking in the M1 lot, north of the planetarium dome and follow the walk to the planetarium. Parking lot C4 is adjacent to the planetarium and theatre.

Past the M1 parking lot and the M wing of the college, you'll find the planetarium and theatre drop off circle drive. There is no parking here, but this location is convenient if you're dropping off someone with mobility issues.

School Buses:
School buses may pull into the planetarium circle drive to drop off students. In most cases, buses can stay here for the duration of the field trip, provided the passage through the open-air archway is not blocked (this is a fire lane). In cases where we have a number of buses visiting, buses can temporarily park in the M lots to the north of the dome.

Bicycle Parking

Bicycle racks are located by the U-wing bus stop, B1–B6 sidewalk, C2 door entrance, and C4 (Theatre) parking lot. Be sure to lock your bicycle and other personal possessions.
