Bianca Green is general counsel for the State Universities Retirement System of Illinois, where she is responsible for providing legal advice and guidance for the administration of a $19 billion public pension fund. Prior to accepting this position, she served as president of Illinois Mediation Services, Inc., a mediation company she founded in response to the growing need for independent mediation services in Illinois. The decision to start her own company came after 16 years in private practice, where she worked as a civil litigation partner with the Champaign, Illinois, law firm of Thomas, Mamer & Haughey, LLP.
Mrs. Green is also a member of the board of Cunningham Children's Home, an exemplary child welfare and educational services agency that serves youth, young adults, and families throughout the state of Illinois.
Mrs. Green and her husband, Jim (also an attorney) live in Champaign with their daughters, Stella and Maris.
