Optimistic and hard-working, Mark Kesler owns and operates two real estate companies besides being a business instructor at Parkland College, a position he’s held since 2003. An entrepreneur in private business for more than 25 years, the Mahomet native returned to college after a 20-year hiatus to earn the Masters of Technology degree. Today, he appreciates the “friendly and family atmosphere” at Parkland, where he feels free to teach Introduction to Business and Management courses in ways that are appropriate to “today’s domestic and global economic conditions.”
If he’s not at the University of Illinois Memorial Stadium, Assembly Hall or any golf course (he loves hosting golf outings), you might find Mark at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on vacation, listening to the smooth sounds of Steely Dan. Mark advises: “What we regret most are the chances we never take.”
