Jennifer Mann, RN
Director of Clinical Services, Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis, LLC
Degree: Associate in Applied Science
Class Year: 1996
Jennifer Mann, a St. Charles, Missouri, resident, joined Unity Hospice of Greater St. Louis as director of clinical services in June 2014. In her current role, Mann provides management to the company’s clinical staff and oversees the delivery of hospice care. She will play an integral role in making sure the company’s service exceeds patient and family expectations, all while following hospice regulations as stated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Originally from Tuscola, Illinois, Mann received her associate’s degree in nursing from Parkland College in 1996. After Parkland, she served as a director of nursing in long-term care facilities in Illinois. She also served as hospice clinical manager at Carle Homecare Services in Champaign from 2010 to 2012. She later served as area administrator at Heartland Hospice in Washington, Missouri, followed by her role as that company’s director of professional services. In this latter position, she handled case management, supervised professional nursing staff, assisted in marketing initiatives, and oversaw the patient referral process and admissions for this hospice agency.
“I chose Parkland College after high school due to the small classroom environments, classes in close proximity, and the one-on-one time you get to spend with instructors when needed,” Mann said. “Parkland was also very affordable, and because of this I was able to pursue the career I wanted without student loans.
“I enjoyed my experience at Parkland and received a great education along with managerial skills that have assisted me in attaining the promotions I have received over the years in the nursing profession. I am grateful for my Parkland College education.”
