Jack the Ripper and Victorian Crime
The serial style killings of five London prostitutes in the late nineteenth century remain unsolved to this day. Investigators have speculated that a number of individuals could have been “Jack the Ripper” , from the son of Queen Victoria to an artist. This is a classic “whodunnit” that paved the way for the Sherlock Holmes mysteries as well as the CSI style programs of today.

Queen Victoria and Victorian England: Myths and Manners

Many have preconceived notions about England’s longest reigning monarch but few know the personable, witty and powerful woman behind the crown. Myths and legends of Victoria will be examined and the morality that she allegedly embraced will be considered in the context of modern social and moral standards.
