Nominating forms to fill trustee posts available

Pick up petitions, supporting documents for six-year seats starting Sept. 15

The Parkland College Board of Trustees is accepting nominations to fill board member positions that expire this spring.

College officials announced today that starting Monday, September 15 at 9 a.m., anyone wishing to run for a position on the Parkland College Board of Trustees may pick up nominating petitions and related documents from Nancy Willamon in Room U336 at the Parkland campus, 2400 West Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois, during regular business hours.

Petitions may NOT be circulated prior to September 23, 2014.

The terms of incumbent trustees Bonnie Kelley and Linden Warfel will expire in April 2015. Each successor trustee will serve for a full six-year term.

Nominating petitions and supporting documents must be filed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 12 noon or 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. prevailing time on any of the following dates: December 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, or 22, 2014. Said documents MUST be filed with the Office of the Board Secretary, Nancy Willamon, Room U336, Parkland College, 2400 West Bradley Avenue, Champaign, Illinois.
