Residents may now apply for 2013 Urbana Arts Grants through Jan. 16, 2013. Learn how to apply for these grants at free workshops hosted by the Parkland Art Gallery.
Workshops will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 6–7:30 p.m., in Room C118, and on Thursday, Dec. 6, noon–1 p.m., in Room D029 at the Parkland College campus.
The City of Urbana Public Arts Commission makes these grants available to artists, arts organizations, and festivals for projects that enrich the lives of Urbana residents and visitors. Grants will be available in four categories:
• Here and Now: grants for artists residing in Urbana
• Envision 365: grants for all emerging and professional artists
• Creative Mix: arts grants for groups, ensembles, and organizations
• Festivals Grant: grants for arts-related festival presenters
Eligible disciplines include visual arts, music, performing arts, literary arts, design, multidisciplinary arts, and new media. Recipients of Urbana Arts Grants from subsequent previous cycles are also eligible. Applicants may apply online; application and guidelines may be found at
