Come and enjoy “Parkland Holiday,” a joint concert of the Parkland Community Orchestra and Parkland Wind Ensemble. The show will be held on Sunday, Dec. 2, at 3 p.m. in the Parkland Theatre. Admission is free and open to the public.
The Parkland Community Orchestra, conducted by Jack Ranney, will perform a variety of winter holiday theme music. Selections will include
Christmas Portrait, arranged by Mark Hayes;
The Nutcracker Suite – Three Dances by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky; and
How the Grinch Stole Christmas, arranged by Jerry Brubaker.
Verlin Richardson conducts the Parkland Wind Ensemble, which will perform
Bells by Ian McDougal;
The Immovable Do by Percy Aldridge Granger;
The Eighth Candle by Steve Reisteter;
Blues for a Killed Kat by Jack End; and
Yuletide Tapestry, arranged by Gary E. Parks.
