Come and enjoy a joint concert of the Parkland Community Concert Band and the Monticello High School concert bands, Feb. 11 at 3 p.m. at the Parkland Theatre.
Admission is free and open to the public. The Parkland Community Concert Band, conducted by Larry Stoner, will perform a variety of musical selections including The Sinfonians Symphonic March by Clifton Williams, Sunrise at Angel’s Gate by Phillip Sparke, and Puszt by Jan Van der Roost.
Alison Allender, director of the Monticello High School band program, will conduct two group performances. School B Day Band will play Semper Fidelis March by John Phillip Sousa, The Unknown Soldier by James D. Ployhar, and Pirates of the Caribbean Symphonic Suite by Klaus Badlet. School A Day Band will perform First Suite in E Flat for Military Band by Gustav Holst, To Dance in the Secret Garden by Robert W. Smith, and John Williams: The Symphonic Marches by John Williams.
