Anxiety Disorders, Treatments: FREE Info Session

Wed, Mar 19, 2014 starting at 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Hear from the experts on anxiety types, symptoms, treatment; get screened

Information and assistance are available for treating anxiety, the most common mental health issue in America today.
Students, staff, faculty and community residents are invited to Parkland March 19 for the information session, "Understanding and Treating Anxiety," from noon to 1 p.m. in Room D244.

The session includes a video and discussion from a panel of local mental health professionals on symptoms/treatment of anxiety disorders, such as panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, or generalized anxiety disorder. The professionals will also answer audience questions and discuss ways to get help.
Confidential screenings will be available in Parkland's Counseling and Advising Center in Room A251 immediately following the program.

The Parkland College Counseling and Advising Center, in conjunction with the Champaign-Urbana Mental Health Public Education Committee, is presenting this free session for the campus and community. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Jennifer Klatsky in Counseling and Advising, 217/351-2453 or jklatsky@parkland.edu.
