Want to sample some new electronic resources? Then, go to the Library's homepage and click on the "Psst" message on the graphic. Take a look at the variety of electronic resources available, on trial, through the Illinois State Library. You'll need a user name and password, so call the Information Desk (ext.3839) to obtain them. Let us know which ones you like! It could affect what we purchase access to in the future, and/or what the State Library might provide.  These trial databases are available through the end of November.

Look back on headlines of "all the news that's fit to print" from the past century. See how the New York Times, our paper of record, reported events ranging from the death of Queen Victoria, to Germany's attack on Poland, to Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing.

 . . . . . . . . . .

If you'd like to see "the rest of the story," we have the complete New York Times on microfilm. Use our *NEW* reader/printer to view articles and make copies. The new machine features automatic loading, great copies, and there's no charge!
