"Omigosh! My teacher said I have to write a research paper! AND I have to use professional journals (whatever those are). AND I have to have 5 non-Internet sources (Isn't it ALL on the 'net?). WHAT SHOULD I DO????" First, take a deep breath. Then, see your nearest reference librarian. The Parkland Reference Librarians can help you select a topic, choose various types of resources, as well as help you understand the differences among periodical publications, and why you shouldn't use the Internet as your sole source of information. We'll be happy to talk with you about your research and help you find the information you need for your paper or project.
