 The newest member of the Library staff is Nancy
Jeckel, an information services librarian.
Nancy began library school after one son was off in college and the other one was at the
end of high school. Expecting
to be an elementary school librarian, she changed her mind after spending two years doing academic reference at the U of I’s Commerce library.
Nancy and her husband enjoy traveling when time permits, and she is an avid reader, especially
popular science. She is the library liaison to the Counseling and Advising Center.

Parkland Library staff are preparing for the
migration to ILLINET Online. Anna Maria Watkin, Cliff
Bishop, Nancy Bode, and Rena Moore attended the
Project Planning Meeting at Illinois Central College. Cliff
Bishop, Nancy Bode, and Rena Moore also attended
"Introduction to MFHDs" and "Data Review"
workshops at the U of I campus.
