New for 2002

What better way to start the new year and new semester than with a new webpage? Parkland Library's webpage has been totally redesigned with a fresh, clean look and faster, easier access to our many resources. We think our redesigned site offers a number of advantages to our users including:

The first page fits on one screen - no more scrolling down to see all of it.

1-click access to the online catalog and Research databases. Mouse over "Research Databases," then click on InfoTrac or a specific FirstSearch database. This change also allows you direct access to the catalogs of ILLINET ONLINE (University of Illinois and other Illinois college/university libraries) and LINC (Lincoln Trail Libraries System).

Subject guide to Research Databases - so you can find which are the best for a business-related topic.

Links to subject/course guides - so students can find research assistance, written by our librarians for specific classes and assignments.

Quick access to online forms - so you can ask us a question, recommend a purchase, or request an interlibrary loan.

A briefer list of recommended websites. We've found that using Librarians' Index to the Internet and Google's web directory takes you to great sites quickly, and we recommend you use those.
