Raeann Dossett is our new
Instruction and Outreach Librarian. She is not new to
Parkland, having worked as a part-time reference librarian for the
past year. Raeann also has over ten years of experience in academic
libraries. She previously worked in Reference and Government
Documents at the University of Illinois library and for Prairienet
Community Network. In her new position at Parkland, Raeann
will be working to enhance the Library Instruction program and
working with instructors to incorporate library and information
skills and literacy into their classes. Her office is room
R232, in the Library, and she can be reached by phone at 351-2883.

Anna Maria Watkin has been
elected to a two-year term as recorder/secretary for
NILRC. ġġ
Anna Maria will also serve as the archivist for Illinois
Council of Community College Administrators. Parkland
Library will house the documents.
Raeann Dossett attended
American Library Association's annual conference in San
Francisco. ġġ Raeann presented
a workshop, "Instructional
Strategies and Techniques," to interested Parkland
faculty during the recent Preparation Week before the fall semester.
