Immigration Matters
The International Student Services office provides assistance with immigration
matters. If you have questions related to your immigration status, you can
make an appointment with our office by calling 217-351-2890.
We can provide information and help
with the following procedures:
- Change of status
- Optional Practical Training (OPT)
- Curricular Practical Training (CPT)
- Off-campus employment based on severe economic hardship
- Reinstatement
- Extension of F-1 status
After receiving information, if you decide to apply for any of the above benefits, please remember that you should make an appointment with International Student Services to complete the process.
