Dietetic Technician

The Parkland Advantage
Parkland College’s Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program for the dietetic technician offers hands-on training in clinical, community and dietetic foodservice settings. Our instructors have practical experience and will give you up-to-date nutrition information. The supervised practicum you have to complete for the degree will give you work experience in many different settings. Parkland’s excellent reputation and strong connections with the community are a great benefit when you’re looking for a job

Placement assistance
Parkland College’s Career Center, 217/351-2536, receives notification of local, state, and nationwide job openings in this field and assists students in developing job search skills.

Dual credit for high school students
High school students may be able to take some of these courses for both high school and college credit prior to graduating from high school. Check with your high school counselor for further information.
