What is Dual Credit?

Dual Credit is a program that allows eligible high school juniors and seniors, ages 16 and older, to take Parkland College courses to earn credit simultaneously toward both a high school diploma and a college degree. You fulfill your high school graduation requirements, and at the same time, earn college credits toward your specialized certification, associate's degree, or bachelor's degree. Courses are offered at Parkland, online, on video, and even at your high school. The college credits you earn may be transferable to other colleges and universities. Talk to your high school counselor or contact your chosen college for specific information.

What is Dual Enrollment?

Dual Enrollment is almost the same as Dual Credit except with Dual Enrollment no high school credit is given. All other procedures and requirements are the same for both programs.
