If there is a personal crisis or emergency, students will be
seen as soon as possible. Professional faculty counselors are available
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. You may come to A251
or call 217/351-2219.
If you need immediate assistance in case of medical or other emergencies,
the Public
Safety office at Parkland College is staffed 24 hours
a day and can be reached at 217/351-2369. Public Safety officers are available
to anyone on the campus — students, faculty or staff.
Twenty-four hour emergency assistance is available by phone for anyone in the
Champaign-Urbana community at The Mental Health Center of Champaign. The
CRISIS LINE is 217/359-4141. The Mental Health Center is located at 205
West Park Avenue.
For National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, call 1-800-273-TALK. Callers to this hotline will receive suicide prevention counseling from trained staff at the closest certified crisis center in the network.
