Welcome to Parkland College’s one-stop learning assistance center for students. We provide a variety of services to help you learn well, grow as a student, excel in your classes, and reach your academic goals:
This computer lab with study area is designed for students in developmental courses: CCS 098 and 099, ENG 098 and 099, and MAT 094, 095, 097, and 098. Our two Academic Development Specialists and one Technical Specialist can help you with assignments and solve problems related to computer usage, Angel, Parkland Connection, student email, and more.
>> Walk-in hours: Monday – Wednesday, 8 am – 6 pm; Thursday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
Math instructors provide free walk-in tutoring for students taking pre-college math. If you are in MAT 094, 095, 097, and 098, this service is for you.
>> Walk-in hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 am - 3 pm; Friday, 9 am - 2 pm
Trained student tutors will help you with math (all levels), physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, accounting, business, economics, and more.
>> Walk-in hours: Monday – Thursday, 9 am – 9 pm; Friday, 9 am – 5 pm
Reading professors provide walk-in help with study skills. They work with students in any class to master textbook material, organize notes, understand the learning process, and prepare for tests.
>> Walk-in hours:Tuesday, 12 – 2 pm; Thursday, 1 – 3 pm
Writing faculty work with students on any writing assignment at any stage of the writing process. Students are invited to use Lab computers for writing assignments and consult with Lab faculty.
>> Walk-in hours: Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5.50 pm;
Friday, 9 am – 1:50 pm
Take our one-credit-hour tutorials to supplement or prepare for chemistry, reading, writing, and math courses. You can even complete some developmental courses using CAS modules.

Advising team members can help you plan a class schedule or discuss your long-term academic goals. You can also talk about non-academic issues (ex. work, childcare, housing, relationships, time management) to identify possible solutions.
