Traffic Safety Program Charged with a traffic violation? You may still be able to keep your driving record clean by participating in the Traffic Safety Program, a four (4) hour Defensive Driving Course sponsored by the National Safety Council and conducted at the Parkland Business Development Center. Parkland College contracts with Champaign, Douglas, Moultrie, and Piatt County traffic courts. If you received a ticket in one of these counties, the Circuit Clerk will mail you a Traffic Safety Program Registration Form. To be considered for Court Supervision, you are required to register for the Traffic Safety Program with the Circuit Clerk ten days prior to your court date. |

Classes are held at two locations:
- Parkland Business Development Center in Champaign, IL
- Sullivan Middle School in Sullivan, IL.
If you received your ticket in one of the above counties and would like to take the program in Sullivan, IL, please indicate that on your Program Registration Form. Note: Unless otherwise requested, all classes will be scheduled in Champaign.
If you've received a traffic ticket in a county other than those listed above and are interested in the four (4) hour National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course (DDC-4):
The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday, 6 -10 p.m.
- Thursday, 6 -10 p.m.
- Wednesday, 6-10 p.m. (Held in Sullivan)
- Saturday, 8 a.m. – Noon
- Saturday, 1 – 5 p.m.
The non-refundable registration fee is $45. Advanced registration is required and all fees are due at the time of registration.

Traffic Safety Program FAQ's
If you are 16-21 years old with a suspended driver's license, a six-hour Graduate to Safety Driver Remedial Education class is also available, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. one Saturday a month depending on instructor availability.
