Service Sanitation Certification
Fulfill the Illinois certification requirement for food handlers with Carolyn Daniel, a Registered ServSafe® Food Safety Instructor with over 15 years experience teaching the Food Service Sanitation certification course. Topics include food-borne illness, time-temperature control, personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing, HACCP, food safety, preparation and serving, cross-contamination, government regulations, and more. In addition to becoming state certified, candidates who successfully complete this course are eligible for the ServSafe® Food Safety Certification Examination for an additional fee.

Please note that the Illinois Department of Public Health requires that a refresher course or test be taken before a certificate can be renewed. To be eligible for a refresher course, you must have a current valid Food Sanitation license and complete a refresher course prior to your current license expiration.
