Softball Coaches
Head Coach
Head Coach Chuck Clutts enters his 9th year at Parkland College , where his teams have compiled a record of 365-116-2 for a .752 winning percentage. The Cobras have won 5 conference and 6 regional titles in the past 8 years. Coach Clutts' teams have finished Runner-up 3 times, 4th, 5th and 6th at NJCAA Nationals and have earned him six Region 24 Coach of the Year, a District Coach of the Year and two M-WAC Coach of the year awards.
In 2007 Coach Clutts and the coaching staff were named the NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the Year. Parkland Softball has had 10 NJCAA All-Americans in the last eight years.

Heather Tarter
Assistant Coach
Coach Tarter, a graduate of Prairie Central High School, is entering her first year coaching at Parkland College. She is a 2008 graduate from the University of Northern Iowa where she received her Bachelors Degree in Movement and Exercise Science.
Prior to attending UNI, she obtained her Associates Degree from Kankakee Community College. She played softball for both UNI and KCC and her primary position was catcher. Coach Tarter will be in charge of the catchers and outfielders. Her experience at both the Division I level and the NJCAA level will help Parkland Softball continue its success.
